Handcrafted Wooden Chopper | Ancient Rātā

Wooden Kitchen Chopper. Beautifully handcrafted from Ancient Rātā timber, responsibly salvaged from the Whanganui River, dating back to the Hatepe eruption of Taupō, circa 186 AD. An incredibly rare and special piece to be well-used and well-loved in any kitchen.

Use for chopping soft herbs, cheeses, nuts; scoring/cutting dough and pastry; slicing corn from the cob, chopping cooked chicken, and more.

Care instructions: Warm hand-wash only - no dishwasher. To refresh wood, rub in coconut oil, wipe off and leave to dry. Can be sharpened using 240 grit sandpaper as required.

Each piece is unique and can vary in finished size and wood grain.
