The Fantail House brings you authentic New Zealand Made Artisan Ware for Gifts & Mementos, Homeware & Lifestyle.

We have two wonderful stores situated in the beautiful Parnell Village in Auckland and charming Rotorua central. We sell only Made in New Zealand products, that's our speciality. We are passionate about supporting a more sustainable New Zealand & providing a wonderful space for New Zealand Artisans to showcase their wares for all to enjoy, as featured in Discover Auckland.

Everything in our stores is designed, created, crafted or printed right here in New Zealand. It can be hard to navigate what is actually made in New Zealand with so many designers now manufacturing their wares offshore. We take the guess work out of it. We are keeping it real.

Formerly 'The Elephant House', the Auckland store's building was built by the "founding father" of Parnell Village Les Harvey & wife Zena Harvey in 1980. It has been housing New Zealand Made artisan ware ever since. The Fantail House proudly continues that tradition in support of NZ Artisans & creativity. A place rich in history and with many a story within its walls.
