Greenstone - Pounamu, Koru Pendant Medium

Koru - The design is derived from the unfurling fern frond - depicting growth, harmony, abundance, life & new beginnings.

New Zealand Greenstone sourced from the Rimu area, just south of Hokitika on the West Coast of the South Island. Rimu emerged as a gold mining settlement in the late 19th Century and is now the source of some of the most beautiful Pounamu we see today. These taonga are expertly hand carved by Master Carver Barry Dash in Greymouth, South Island.

Each piece is unique and individual, no two pieces are the same. The piece you receive has been carved from the same piece of greenstone as the pendant pictured, so will have very similar colouring, but will have it's own unique details.

Approximate measurements - 3.2 cm diameter. Adjustable cord to suit what length you prefer.
