As a child, Donna was taught of Pounamu as precious taonga, a sacred gift to be passed down through the generations.  Alongside her interpretation of traditional motifs, she takes inspiration the whenua (land) where she grew up, whether it was spending hours fossicking at the beach or out in the wilderness of the Far North.

Her work continues to evolve. Donna's intuitive carving reflects her skilled eye for beautiful design. Her pieces speak for themselves.
