New Zealand Greenstone sourced from the Rimu area, just south of Hokitika on the West Coast of the South Island. Rimu emerged as a gold mining settlement in the late 19th Century and is now the source of some of the most beautiful Pounamu we see today. Rimu Greenstone is known for its magnificently rich, dark green colouring. These taonga are expertly hand carved by Master Carver Barry Dash in Greymouth, South Island.

These images are a guide. The taonga you receive has been carved from the same piece of greenstone as the pictured piece, so will have very similar colouring, though unique details like flecks or mottling will vary.
