ABOUT OUR ANCIENT WOOD - SWAMP KAURI
The Kauri tree, Agathis australis, is New Zealand’s largest and most famous native tree. Ancient Kauri is a rare and exquisite timber, referring to prehistoric Kauri that has been preserved for thousands of years in peat bogs around Aotearoa. It is a true treasure.
This rare bowl has highlights of paua and multiple coats of oil to enhance that natural lustre of the Kauri.
